Hi! I’m Ashlyn, the stylist behind Velvet Strands KC. Hair has always been more than just hair to me. It’s confidence, self expression, and creating a space where you can truly feel like your best self. My journey in cosmetology hasn’t been a straight line, but coming back, graduating, and opening my own salon suite made me realize this is exactly where I’m meant to be. At Velvet Strands KC, my goal is to create beautiful, customized hair while giving every guest a relaxing, personalized experience. Whether you’re looking for something bold and fun! or lived-in blonding, dimensional color, a fresh cut, or just a little self-care time, I want you to leave feeling refreshed, confident, and completely in love with your hair. I charge a 30% (of the service) fee if you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment.
